Updating of External Sources
I have several columns worth of information where the data is being gathered
from other spreadsheets on my network drive. Each column represents a spreadsheet's worth of information. My issue is that sometimes if Excel has a problem and has to shut down then all the data disappears and #REF appears. What I then have to do is close down all the source files (if they are open) and manually edit the links, open the source, save the source and check that the column then reflects the data. I've tried telling EXCEL to automatically update links but it doesn't seem to like it. Also, sometimes I will notice that not all columns will have this problem although they will have the same formulas (GETPIVOTDATA) just pointing to different source files. Can anyone explain this to me? Thanks |
