Make certain that your copy of Office/Excel has all updates applied. At
least one person has reported improved graphing performance with SP2 applied. It is possible for 2003 and 2007 to coexist on one machine (the one I'm using right now is set up that way), but you really need to have 2003 installed before installing 2007: 2007 will see 2003 and offer to install separately rather than overwriting 2003, but 2003 won't see 2007 and will probably wipe out that installation which would require you to reinstall 2007. Another possibility is to use a program like Virtual PC ( http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en ) to create a virtual machine on your physical machine and install your licensed copy of Office/Excel 2003 on it. You would also need an extra license for the operating system you install on the virtual machine. Is there anyway to speed excel up? maybe switch of some of those neat but ultimately useless new functions or graphic effects? Alternatively is there a way to install Excel 2003 as well? |
