Hello

I have WinXP running Excel 2007 (latest update from windows update)

From time to time excel becomes covered in a light blue wash and it is
impossible to open any of the menus.

Any ideas what this is please.

Is that in Edit mode..(F2)

Hello Jacob

Yes that seems to be it... It does not 'turn off' edit mode by clicking F2
again but I can bring back the menus by just clicking any cell.
