Linked cells (?)
I'm trying to catorgoize my DVD library. Can I link cells together so
that if I want to sort one row, say by author, it will also re-arrange the cells/rows on each side. Not sure if that makes sense. I'd like to be able to look for an author alphabetically, without loosing the name of the DVD or catogory that's in the adjacent cells.next to the author |

When you sort, highlight (select) all columns of your data. Then you can
specify which column to sort on. The other columns that you selected will get sorted as well. "Loki" wrote: I'm trying to catorgoize my DVD library. Thank you. I knew there must be a way. Am I right in thinking that
Excel is the best way to go for this? On Wed, 22 Apr 2009 20:25:01 -0700, dhstein wrote: When you sort, highlight (select) all columns of your data. Then you can specify which column to sort on. Excel is probably the best for your purposes. Access is Microsoft's database
application, but it is somewhat more difficult to learn than Excel. For a simple list of DVD's you should use Excel. "Loki" wrote: Thank you. I knew there must be a way.
