Default Opening .xls file

I received a worksheet file as an email attachment. When I try to open it,
all I see is a tiny sliver (about 1/2 of the red X square) on the far
left-hand side of the Excel window and I can't move it into view. Same
result if I save and then try to open in Windows Explorer. I CAN se it in
Print Preview mode. I'm using Wndows XP and MS Office 2000, and have
installed the Compatibility Pack. This file opens without problems on my
office PC which uses Excel 2003.

Try:

Window|Arrange|Tiled

Then resize the way you like.
