Default vlookup from multiple workbooks

Ofc07, waht is easiest way to use v or hlookup with multiple workbooks? 2003
was go to the wkbk, point to Named range drop-down, select the named range,
then add the column or row.

When I attempt this in 07 I get functions (Sum... etc)
Wrong setting?
