Default Pivot Tables

How do I eliminate obsolete values in my pivot table filters? I reset my
data range, refreshed my table and even created a new pivot table but the
values I eliminated still show up in my filters with no data attached to them.

that could happen if the pivot cache is not cleared. You may want to clear
all data from the sheet and recreate the pivot if should solve the problem.

Do share the workbook to analyse more if the problem persists.

Thanks for your response...has anyone suggested to Microsoft to develop a
"clear Cache" button. This problem has happened to me more than a couple of
times. Brenda@GM

Hi Brenda

This has been resolved in XL2007.
Normally, just dragging the field with the "obsolete" value from the
PTRefreshdrag field back will cure the problem.
If not, then Debra Dalgleish has some code for achieving this - without
having to resort to rebuilding the whole PT.
