Default Selective Macro Security in Excel 2007

Error message: "Must have personal workbook open in order to write a macro -
(denied)". Huh?

I have a very repetetive process I NEED to automate with a simple macro.

PS, Also, need to designate the originator of the spreadsheet as a trusted
source (I guess... somehow). The so-called "Help" feature is not specific on
this - (surprise)! Excel 2003 was never this hard.

Suggestions are welcome.
