hi
an example of your data would have been nice but wild guess... text to columns. add a blank column next to your column you want to "split". then on 2003 menu bar.....datatext to colunnsfollow the wizard. regards FSt1 "dancersmom" wrote: have created a worksheet with many columns with headings. ie name ticket # sold i would like to split the columns under ticket # into 2 so i can have the beginning number and last number. is there a way to split the cells |

No, but you can go the other way. Insert a column to the right of your ticket
# column, then merge the heading cells (cell containing "Ticket #" and new blank cell). Or, instead of merging (which can cause issues with some functions/macros, select the two cells, go to formatting, and then horizontally align across selection. -- Best Regards, Luke M *Remember to click "yes" if this post helped you!* "dancersmom" wrote: have created a worksheet with many columns with headings. ie name ticket # sold i would like to split the columns under ticket # into 2 so i can have the beginning number and last number. is there a way to split the cells |
