Default Deleting Rows or Columns

I am a experienced Excel user, but I am baffled. When I try to delete either
rows or columns, the software locks up and I cannot do anything. The program
was working fine up until this morning. Like I said, I have been working
with Excel for over 10 years. This is a basic function that I've done
thousands of times. What am I missing here?

Default Deleting Rows or Columns

Is this happening with a particular file or all of them?

Tyr CSA - close the PC and start again...

If the file has too many calculations then turn autocalculate off...and test
