Default drop-down sort

hi,

could you please let me know how you can sort from a drop-down? i know you
can list items €¦ but how can you make it sort ascending and descending? for
example, say , cells/columns a5:bL5 are the titles for the information; "site
number", "manager", "region" et cetera ... so what i want is when i do
data;validation and insert my drop down ... and source the data off of a5:bL5
when i choose say ... "site number" it'll give me the option to sort by
ascending or descending ... or if both isn't applicable then maybe just
ascending ... i hope this makes sense. can someone help me?
