Report on data in rows & columns
Hello,
I have data in a spreadsheet with column and row headings, then data at the intersecting cells. The columns represent days of the week, the rows represenet workstations, and the data consists of the names of people using the workstations. I would like to take this data over several weeks and know how many times person 1 worked at station 1, station 2, and so on for all people and all stations. Is this possible with a pivot table or some other data analysis tool within Excel? |
Report on data in rows & columns
Hi,
Let's assume that the first row of data is from cells A1 to K1, in a cell type the following formula: =countif(a1:k1,"Smith"). Copy or create formulas for the other users. I hope I have captured your requirements acurrately. HTH, John "tommcbrny" wrote: Hello, I have data in a spreadsheet with column and row headings, then data at the intersecting cells.
