Default How can the number of words per cell in Excel be increased?

Hi there!
I am working on an Excel spread sheet with a lot of text information. There
appears to be maximum number of words/characters set for each cell, so that
parts of the text information are not displayed. Regardless if I increase the
cell size.
Any feedback welcome.
Many thanks
Joerg

The limit size of a cell is 32,736 characters although you can only display
up to 256 characters. You can see all the limits using the worksheet help
menu under

Excel specifications and limits

Hi

There is an excellent addin available from Dr Peter Grebenik which allows
you to type 32,000 characters in a cell and view them all.
It can be downloaded here

Joel

If you actually read the help on specs and limits you would find that you
can display 1024 characters............not 256.

Once the number of words in a cell becomes excessive, one approach is to
use a hyperlink to another document, perhaps Notepad, which contains all
the information you want to display for that cell.

Can you be more specific with your instructions? I've tried a number of
different combinations and all that happens is a line return, which gives me
even less space in the cell. Thanks!

Format the cell to wrap text after you have added the linefeeds.
