I can't find the answer either online or in Excel help probably because I'm
not using correct terms. The first row contains column titles, and when I sort the columns these titles get sorted to. Can I somehow anchor or designate the text in these cells to remain fixed? |

Don't know what version of Excel you are using but in Excel 2000 when you
select your columns and then click Data - Sort, the Sort dialog box has a radio button at the bottom to say whether your columns have a header row or not. Try formatting the headers differently, like Bold. Excel will probably
recognize them then as headers -- Kind regards, Niek Otten Microsoft MVP - Excel "OPDvolunteer" wrote in message ...
