How do I change a group/range of cells to print vertical rather then horizontal
without having to change all the cells manually

Requirement not clear. More information needed.
Example?

Page Setup has an option for Page Order which has two choices;
Down, then over
Over, then down

Is that what you are looking for?

Maybe...

Insert a new worksheet (for printing only)
Select the range (single row???) to print
and then select A1 of that new sheet
Edit|Paste special|transpose
