It represents the number .00000000298023. Set your format to Number with
decimals out to 15. PJ "Jim" wrote: I am using the xirr function and I get a result of 298023E-09. Why and what does it mean? Thanks, Jim |

Jim,
It's a very large number and probably being generated because you gave xirr incorrect data. Post your formula and data Mike "Jim" wrote: I am using the xirr function and I get a result of 298023E-09. Why and what does it mean? Thanks, Jim |

Hi, Mike.
Actually, it's slightly smaller than very large number, as far as value very close to zero is not large :-) "Mike H" wrote: Jim, It's a very large number and probably being generated because you gave xirr incorrect data. One more remark: previous suggestion works only when changing source data,
not when adding new data which then have to be pivoted. To pivot new adds u have to go back to pivot wizard and expand the source area (clicking on back button in wizard). "Jim" wrote: I am using the xirr function and I get a result of 298023E-09. Why and what does it mean? Thanks, Jim |
