Default Problem with column headers

I've created a table with multiple columns of data and every time I try to do
an expanded sort of the data it includes the column headers with the data.

I've tried splitting and freezing the top row but it keeps doing it. Is
there something I'm missing? Any help would be appreciated!

I'm not 100% sure, but I think if you highlight your data and headers to
sort, then go to menu Data, then Sort, you can select the radio button
telling Excel if you have headers or not. By moving the radio button
selection to "Header row", they should be excluded......

It's not clear exactly what you are trying to do, but you should be able to
solve your problem in one of two ways:

1. Highlight the are you want to sort first. If you don't select any data
before sorting, Excel tries to guess what area you want sorted. If your data
isn't laid out the way it expects, it will make mistakes. So select the data
to be sorted first, then sort.

2. You can control whether Excel recognizes headers or not. There's a check
box ("My data has headers") in the sort dialogue. Select or de-select it as
appropriate.

Regards,
Fred.
