While working on a spreadsheet, I placed all these nice little formula's in
it and they all worked wonderful. Saved and closed the worksheet. Life is grand. Open it the next day and the formula's are all gone. The protect worksheet is not on. The cell is not formated to make it hidden either. What did I do? Thanks for any and all light that you can shed on this isse. Oh I am using ...Vista SP 1 for an OS and Excel 2007..and advil...lots and lots of advil. Starting to wonder about some Jack to wash it down with too. |

The two most likely explanations a
1. You didn't save it. It happens, you think you click "OK" but actually click "Cancel" or something of that nature. 2. You did save it, but with a different file name and/or different location. And what you're looking at now is the old file. HTH Elkar " wrote: While working on a spreadsheet, I placed all these nice little formula's in it and they all worked wonderful. Neither one of those would explain why I have the values from the formula's
still there. (Sorry I guess I did forget that little bit in the original question.) Plus I did add a whole section after that (all values no formlas involved) Is there some keyboard combo that would automatically change the cells to be values only? I did look for an older version of the file (just to be safe) and this is the only file on my pc, the network share, and my user drive. I even looked at dates incase I did save it under another name (It was saved as smith, only so many ways to typo that one) But thank you Elkar. You gave a great answer for the info you were given. Is this a shared document and have formulas unique to 2007 (COUNTIFS, SUMIFS,
etc) If so, someone could have opened the file with 2003, and sometimes when XL can't figure out what to do with the formula, it just keeps the values and gives up trying to calculate the rest. -- Best Regards, Luke M *Remember to click "yes" if this post helped you!* " wrote: Neither one of those would explain why I have the values from the formula's still there. ![]() I know I just said that both you and Luke helped me and you both did. Because we have 2002, 2003 and 2007 I have to send documents in compatibility mode. I am wondering if this is what happened. If it is...it isn't very compatable. "Bob Umlas" wrote: Saved as txt or csv maybe? " wrote in message ...
