Default Drop Down Lists

Is there a way to update a drop down list within a worksheet without going
into the seperate list data worksheet? For example: Ihave a list of product
available in several colors and with out disrupting this list of data can I
enter new colors within another worksheet. The worksheets al reference to
the list data worksheet.

Is this possibkle withExcell or do I have to use Access, or create the data
list in Access and some how link the two togeather?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
