Default problem saving workbook to network location

I create a workbook, go to save it to our network file server and it gives me
error about name containing "/" or "\". BUT, if I save it first to my local
hard drive only then can I save it to the network location! (Providing I
don't change the name). Only happens in Excel 2003, never had this problem in
any other version or with any other office program.
