Default Startup Error Box

I probably have entered this query in the wrong group but I did not know
where to enter the question. Possibly someone can help or direct me to the
correct site:

When I reboot Windows (2007) I get a box which has this number;
0x6d94d038

I click terminate and the next box appears with the following;
C:\windows\system\umdmxfrm.dll

I just wish to stop the "boxes" on startup. They are a pain in the .........
