I have two computers that are running Vista on a Network.
When we try to access the Excel Files residing on one from the other there is about a 35 - 45 second wait time before the file is opened. If I try to open the same file (residing on a Vista machine) from an XP machine the File opens instantly. Help !! |

Hi,
I can't say specifically, but Vista is slower than XP and Vista has many security features that may be activated by an operation across the network. You might also pose that question to the Vista area, here is the performance Newsgroup: http://www.microsoft.com/communities...&lang=en&cr=US I remember a time when it took 3-4 minutes to manually load the operating system and then another 3-4 to load the program we wanted to use. -- If this helps, please click the Yes button Cheers, Shane Devenshire "Daniel" wrote: I have two computers that are running Vista on a Network.
