Default Cond. formatting, based on other cell values?

Is it possible to conditional format a cell based on another cell's value?
Let's say I enter 1 in a given cell, and I want the cell to its immediate
right to be formatted with a yellow fill color. If this can be done, can
somebody walk me through it?

Thanks!!

If you enter a value in A1 and want to color B1 if A1=1 then select B1,
choose CF and choose FORMULA IS option of conditional formatting and enter
the formula
as =A1=1

You can also color the whole row or range also based on value in A1...
Just select the cells
and use the formula
=$A1=1
