When I copy from workbook and try and paste in another workbook, I can't.
The paste function is not available. I am using Excel 2007. I was able to
do it before, but both me and our tech guy can't remember installing any new
software or changing settings. Does anyone have any ideas???? Thanks ahead
of time!

Open both workbooks in the same instance.

I suggest start looking for an interfering Addin or third party program
(does the "copied item" appear on the clipboard?)

Thanks. The copied item does appear on the clipboard. I can paste if I
click paste on the clipboard, but can not paste using ctrl + v or Right click
with the mouse (paste is grayed out). I need to be able to use the
shortcuts...any other ideas? Thanks..I didn't know how I could paste from
the clipboard like that.

Does Shift Insert work or is it broken too? I really suspect some
interfering Addin or third party program, but you can try running Office
Diagnostics from Excel Options, Resources window.
