Custom format for 3,500,000
#.0,,"MM" returns 3.5MM Gord Dibben Excel MVP On Tue, 12 Apr 2005 15:42:37 -0700, "benb" wrote: Is there anyway to create a custom format that will display millions with a letter character proxy for the zeros (e.g. rather than 1,000,000, display 1MM; instead of 3,500,000, 3.5MM). What I want is something in effect similar to scientific notation, but this would actually be a form of financial notation. I know that using brackets I can use conditional formatting to change the font color, for instance. Can anyone hook me up with the format code to accomplish this? |
