Default Cell comments and Terminal font: BIG problem

Hi!
i have a problem with excel (2000 SP3)

try yourself: create a new comment, set the font to "Terminal" and write
down more than 1024 char (for example by keeping "0" key pressed for a few
seconds)

excel crashes

no problems with other fonts, you can go way after the 1024th char

I need to write even bigger comments using an uniform padding font like
Terminal, so i have no other option. Is there a solution?

Courier New won't work for you? It's a fixed-spacing font.

Courier new won't work
Try the following comment in courier new in excel, you'll see it isn't
"fixed spacing" (while i know it should be!)

iiiiiiiiii
oooooooooo

Anyway, for now i have decided to use Arial CE, which is not "fixed
spacing" but keeps the same size for numbers and the char "_" and "x",
which was my specific need

Alas Arial CE isn't a standard font, i fear, so i could have problems
in the future. Hope that MS will fix this strange bug...
