.XLB OverWritten
I have a problem where, with excel up and running, if I accidently select
the xl icon again, a second copy of xl loads, and it loads without the standard xlb file opening. If I close the second copy, it overwrite my xlb file (to nothing). Is there a way to prevent the second opening of xl? (Running xl2000 on Windows 2000) Alex J (madly backing up my xlbs) |

That's not your problem, Alex. The problem is that the XLB files does not get found/read when the second Excel instance opens. That is not normal behavior. I've used Excel for 10 years and never seen this once. When the first instance only is open is the XLB still present in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel? If so can you re-name it? (As a test to see if it's locked). I really have no good idea what's going on. madly backing up my xlbs Excellent! That's what I do because of random bloating and to easily reverse changes some Excel apps make. -- Jim Rech Excel MVP "Alex J" wrote in message ...
