Default Why do I have cells I have fomatted as not bold, still 'bolding'

Even though I have formatted cells in my workbook not to bold, when I enter
data into some cells they automatically bold. As far as I can tell, I do not
have any conditional formatting turned on.

Do you have any event code running?

Which particular cells are bolding?

One sheet or all sheets?

What is the fontsize in the cells in question?

Larger font sizes will usually look bold even if not formatted as boild.

Gord,

Thanks for your reply.

No event code running. The cells that bold are cells that I have previously
formatted by using the paint brush function. The cells are in a column where
I daily enter counts. The bold button is not highlighted for the cells until
after I hit enter, and then they become bold. Not all cells in a column do
this. I have tried to reformat all cells that should not be bold and then
checked to see if the 'bold' icon shows them as having bold turned on.
Everything looks fine, then I enter data, and some of the cells still become
bolded. Font is 11 calibri. It is only on this worksheet.
