I can define a name, but I cannot use the name - menu Insert-Name-Use is blank
Hello
I defined a name "TEST" in menu Insert - Name - Define: =OFFSET(Sheet1!$C$1;1;0;1;1) I want to use the name "TEST", but Menu Insert - Name - Use does not offer my name (in any sheet). I also don't see the defined name in the names field next to the formula bar. When I define standard name (just select range and type a name to the names field and press Enter), I can use this name and I see it in names field. I use Win NT with Excel 2003. I never had this problem in Win 2000. In existing workbook (created in Win 2000), I can use this function without problems. Thank you Zdenek Moravec |

The Insert Name dialog doesn't show it, but it's still there and available.
Just type a formula like =Test "Zdenek Moravec" wrote: Hello I defined a name "TEST" in menu Insert - Name - Define: =OFFSET(Sheet1!$C$1;1;0;1;1) I want to use the name "TEST", but Menu Insert - Name - Use does not offer my name (in any sheet).
