Paste and Link
I have used the "paste and link" function to paste a graph from Excel to
Word, however, I can only open the link in my own computer that create these 2 files. If I open the word file in other computers, the word file cannot show that the graph is link to the Excel file, it shows that the graph was only use the "copy and paste" fuction. I want to why is this happen? Did I do anything wong in the files? Please help~Thx~ |

When you paste into word do it from the menu Edit - Paste Special. Make sure
you paste the Excel object and the "Paste Link" is NOT selected. sorry, I'm not quite understand.
as my graph(chart) will change when the data in the excel change, so why the "paste link" is not selected? I've done the "paste and link" as follow: paste-paste special-paste link-microsoft office excel chart objects P.S. If other people need to use the file then they have to have the Network drive
mapped with the same letter and path that you have linked on your PC and have the permission to access the Excel file. From an windows explorer go to Tools - disconnect Netwrok Drive to see how the drive is mapped on each PC.
