How can I convert an excel file to a .wk1 file if Office 2007 no longer will
save a .wk1 file? Can someone point me to a file converter or program?

You're correct, Excel 2007 dropped several previously supported 'export to'
file formats:

I did some hunting around and found this converter that will take a .xls
(pre-Excel 2007 file format) and claims to be able to convert it to wk1. So
your process would be to save the file as an Excel 97-2003 .xls file and
then process it with this tool:

I have not used that tool, am not familiar with the source, so I can't say
if it does the job properly or otherwise speak up for it. Good luck.
