Default creating a milestone chart

Good day all.

I am trying to create a milestone chart for a Procurement Strategy, this
will be a set of say 12 activities, but i want to represent the activities on
the X axis and show the Dates on the Y axis with a diamond shape to indicate
the actual dates.
Is there a method that i can use to generate this?
So if i have an activity happening on 22nd Dec 2008 i will have a diamond
shape showing on that date line?

Thanks all

Sounds to me like what you are trying to accomplish would be
considered a GANTT chart. There are many templates out there with
variations that you may find useful. I'd provide some links but I am
getting as many Excel 2007 hits as I am previous versions.
microsoft.com has a bunch of templates.... try there and let me know.
(you may have to dig a little to get a diamon specifically but there
are many alternative "professional" looking options out there as
well.
