Default Get Data from Lotus Notes Database into Excel

Is there a way from within Excel, macro or VB to open Lotus Notes, then open
a Database? I have the code to import the data I want once the Database has
been manually opened but would like to avoid having to manually open Lotus
Notes before doing the Import of data.
Thanks
Steve
