Default LOOK UP/VLOOKUP

Dear All,

Can you help me with the LOOK UP/VLOOKUP function?

Let me explain my requirement clearly.

In sheet 1, I have data with several columns which is entered manually
everyday. In the sheet 2, I would be requiring only the data mentioned in
selected columns.

For example if I enter a date in a particular cell in sheet 2 (say B2), the
selected column data with respect to that date should appear in the column
range (B4:G4) of the same sheet sorted by time.

Please help me.

Default LOOK UP/VLOOKUP

What do you mean - "sorted by time" ?

Give some examples of what you want to achieve.

Default LOOK UP/VLOOKUP

Hi Pete,

For suppose i enter column details for column headers like meeting date,
time, name, w, x, y,z in sheet 1. In sheet 2 if i give a search by the
meeting date, I want to get the entries made for that specific day sorted by
time and the respective column details.

The entries in sheet 1 will not be in an increasing time, but when i give a
search in sheet 2, the details should get listed in ascending time format.

Also I would be requiring only column details of selected column headers in
sheet 2 and not all entered in sheet 1.

Hope this is clear.

I don't usually post at weekends, and I think we have a big time
difference anyway, so please bear with me until Monday.

Default LOOK UP/VLOOKUP

You can send me a sample file (.xls NOT .xlsx) to:

pashurst <at auditel.net

Indicate which columns you want to see in your second sheet.
