Merge Columns
Never thought that this would be such a hassle. I have one column with
area codes and the next with phone numbers without area codes. I simply want to merge the area codes before the telephone number INTO ONE COLUMN. All I can find is merge cell shortcuts in the new Excel program. Nothing is telling me how to do what seems to be or should be a very simple task. Please advise. Thank you. -- Templar |
Merge Columns
Maybe this in a 3rd column =A1&B1 or to preserve some spacing =A1&" "&B1 You then then copy this column and paste it back over itself with pastespecial - paste values and delete the original 2 columns.
