Default Cell reference in Square Brackets

Hi there

Hope you can help. I want to be able to put a variable in [sqare brackets].
As an example =["a6"]si!e9. Therefore wahtever the work book name in a6,a7,a8
etc will appear in the shaquare brackets which will then link to work sheet
si, cell E(.

Is this possible?

Really look forwrad to hearing from someone
