Default Excel

I can open up and use excel spread sheets just fine but if anyone sends me a
Excel file or even on disk i cannot open it up the our glass turns but
nothing opens. Can anyone help me with this?? PLEASE...

Hi,

Are you opening the file from inside Excel or outside of Excel. You may
want to save files from email rather than opening it directly from the email.
Then open the saved file.

I have tried it both ways and even reinstalled office to see if this would
fix the problem and it still does the same thing. Do you have anymore
suggestions i might be able to try? I would apprieciate it very much
