I have a pivot table set up that I am updating information in a "raw data
worksheet". I delete old records and add new records. Within the field listing, older records are not going away even though there is not a field in the "raw data worksheet" to reference. Is there a way to delete history, or get the history to update when refreshing the pivot table? Thanks! Josh |

Hi Josh, In your pivot table, show the field list, remove the field(s) in question, refresh the pivot table data, then replace the field(s) you removed. The defunct categories should now be gone. |

Depending on which version of Excel you're using, you might also be able
to change a pivot table setting, so the old items don't reappear.
