Default can a work sheet have an alert to calendar

I created a work sheet. On the expiration date cell I would like to be
alerted, example like how calendar notifies you of an appointment. Can this
be done? Thanks for reading Happy Thanksgiving

An Excel file can't do anything unless it is opened.

I would put a reminder in my calendar with a Hyperlink to the file.
