Default Vlookup

I would like this string to return "not equiped" when an empty cell is
encountered.

I have tried multiple changes and still I only get a "0" returned. Any help
would be appreciated.

Here is my string:

=IF(ISERROR(VLOOKUP($B6,'Table
1'!$A6:$G$14988,3,FALSE)),"",VLOOKUP($B6,'Table 1'!$A6:$G$14988,3,FALSE))

Try using ISNA instead of ISERROR

I gave that a try Scott and here is my new string:

=IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP($B5,'Table 1'!$A5:$G$14988,3,FALSE)) = TRUE, "not
equipped", VLOOKUP($B5,'Table 1'!$A5:$G$14988,3,FALSE))

I still get a return of 0
