Default drop down list

I'm trying to create a simple drop down list but when I enter the name of the
column it gives this error, "The List Source must be a delimited list, or a
reference to a single row or column" It is a simple list in a single column,
why do I keep getting this error?

Can you give us your actual formula? And if you are trying to do a list of a
named range, can you give us the formula for the named range?
