Default setting a cell length limit

Hi,
I'm looking to set the number of characters in a given columns cells to a
certain number. For example, column B i want a maximum of 68 characters in
each cell with a min of 0. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Have you looked at Data Validation? There is a Text Length setting.
