Office 2007, Xp Pro
I have cells with text format, ie 0117401342
How do I format to 011 740 1342?

Not possible to customize formatting for text. If they were numbers you can
use


000 000 0000

assuming the number of digits are constant


any other way would require an event macro

=TEXT(A1,"000 000 0000")

Of course, if you are willing to have the text numbers in A and another
column, say B, formatted 000 000 0000, you could make, say,
B1=VALUE(A1).
