I want Word & Excel to open maximized.
For some reason, when I open Word or Excel, the windows are not automatically
maximized. They used to be, and I don't know why they aren't any more. How can I fix this? It's not a big deal, it's just aggravating. |

I want Word & Excel to open maximized.
Now we know why you have high BP :-)
Seriously, if you maximize the window before closing Word/Excel, next time it should open maximized... Is there any macro running while opening Word/Excel. If you can play around with registry then check the following 1.To open Registry Editor - Click on Start|Run|Regedit 2.Navigate to the following Key - [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\E xcel\Options] or [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\E xcel\Options] depending upon your Excel version 3.Look for "Maximized" Change the value to 00000003 to open Excel maximized. There should be a similar setting for Word... search for Maximized... (F3) If the problem persists then there is something which is resetting this value or overriding the behaviour...
