Using Excel 2002 & 2003

"help me" wrote in message
...
converting a given date to its respective day of the year, by this i mean

January 31st is, day 31 of the year
feb 01 is , day 32 of the year
feb 02 is , day 33 of the year

I would like to enter any given date into one column and the next column

to
calculate the day in a number only (1-365 days in a year)
