Hi,
If your data setup meets the following conditions, just put your cursor in a single cell of the column you want to sort on and click the Ascending Sort button on the toolbar. 1. One row of headers (titles) 2. No data directly adjacent to your data that you don't want sorted (leave a mote around your data.) For example no total row touching the data - it may be sorted into the data. 3. No completely blank rows or columns within your data. 4. (Should not be necessary with your data) format the title row a little - bold or center or underline or whatever. Remember, Sort is undoable. Press Ctrl+Z if you don't like the results. -- Thanks, Shane Devenshire "wynb" wrote: good day all, i have a spreadsheet with muliple columns and rows.what i am tring to do is sort all data by the date column and maintain the corresponding row data to each date. any help would be appreciated. |
