Hi all

I am not sure if I am inthe right Discussion group for this Question

Follow the address of "the road accounting program" which contains excel
workbooks and Storage files
C:\Users\Welcome\Stewarts Files\Road accounting program

If I send a copy of this file, " the road accounting program" to a new
Computer and place it in a new location will it take on the new address up to
\road accounting program. If so will the files inside this folder do the same?

Thanks for looking

Depends upon how you send it, how the receiver handles it.

Is there anything I can do when it comes to passing the file out ensures that
this happens?

Hi,

here is a little more detail:

If the user has a folder setup identical to this:
C:\Users\Welcome\Stewarts Files\Road accounting program on their computer
this should work, if you install the program it the appropriate location. Of
course we don't know what supporting files are necessary for the program or
where they belong. We also don't know if the files can be simply copied or
you must run some sort of installation routine.

You might consider putting the program on the network.

Technically you are in the wrong newgroup because we address Excel questions
and the file Road Accounting Program does not appear to be an Excel file
because it doesn't have an xls extension. I really can't say what group this
question belongs in.

Thanks,

Dear Shane

Thank you

If the files were on a web site I assumthat this would solve the problem as
it stays in one location and all the neccessary people can access and Update.

Thanks
