If you want to edit the workbooks, then you'll need xl2007.
If you just want to view the workbooks, you can download the free compatibility pack: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en Julie wrote: I have Excel 2000. I am receiving email attachments that end in xlsx but I can't open them. Do I need to update my computer? -- Dave Peterson |

Please ignore the first part of my response. I was thinking of the excel
viewer. The compatibility pack will allow you to edit the workbook. Sorry. Julie wrote: I have Excel 2000. I am receiving email attachments that end in xlsx but I can't open them. Do I need to update my computer? -- Dave Peterson |
