Default excel formula

Hi, Can anyone help me? Im new to this. I'm using excel 2007. I have a street
number and name in one column. How can i get autocomplete to work with the
street names when the street numbers are different? Its a long database of
names and adresses and everytime i add one i have to type road, street, lane
and the street name when I know their already in the column?
Thanks in advance, katey

Katey

I would enter numbers in one column and street names etc. in other columns.

You can always join them together afterwards.

=A1 & " " & B1 to get 123 Street

Most databases keep segments of that type of data in separate columns for
ease of manipulation later.

i.e. Name Address City State ZIP in 5 columns

Autocomplete will then operate as you want.
