Default No cell references

Hi I am working on a spreadsheet that was created by someone else.

In this sheet there are no cell reference headers for the rows or columns.
Also, all cells to the right and below certain points are greyed out and I
cannot access them.

Can I show cell reference headers?

In xl2003, you can try:
tools|Options|view tab|check row & column headers.

And it kind of sounds like the author of the workbook just hid the columns to
the right and rows below.

You can select all the cells
(ctrl-a a few times)

Then Format|column|Unhide
and
format|row|unhide

(still xl2003 menus)
